Thursday 27th July predictions, in addition to the friendly between Juventus and AC Milan there is the usual feast of Conference League matches.
The second qualifying round of the Conference League is the one involving the most teams, no less than 106. Fifty-three games spread over three days. Almost all of them take the field today, including Besiktas coached by the experienced Senol Gunes.
The Bianconeri will do all they can to respond to city rivals Fenerbahçe, who overwhelmed Zimbru of Moldova 5-0 yesterday in the same competition. At least three goals in total are expected in the home match with Tirana. Bodo/Glimt and Paok Thessaloniki should also impose themselves without problems over Bohemians and Beitar Jerusalem, while Djurgarden, Hapoel Beer Sheva and Aek Larnaca will in all probability mortgage passage to the round against Lucerne, Panevezys and Torpedo Zhodino. More balanced, on the other hand, will be the challenge between the Romanians of Cluj, coached by the Italian Mandorlini, and Vincenzo Montella’s former team, now led by Dutchman Kluivert. Club Brugge, who host Aarhus, face a tough challenge.
Other match predictions
Overnight one of our Serie A classics between AC Milan and Juventus will be staged in California. The Rossoneri have already played a friendly, losing 3-2 to Real Madrid, while the Bianconeri have yet to make their debut following the cancellation of the test against Barcelona due to a gastrointestinal virus that knocked out several Blaugrana players. Pioli’s side are slight favourites in a match in which both should score at least one goal each.
