Everton-Manchester City is a match of the thirty-sixth day of the Premier League and is played on Sunday at 3 p.m.: tv, formations, predictions
Unlike Real Madrid, which now has only one thought in its head and that is about next Wednesday’s match since in the league Ancelotti’s team does not have to ask for anything, Manchester City cannot afford any distractions in the Premier League.
Guardiola’s team leads the English league with a one-point lead – and one game less – over Arsenal. So let’s make the idea that everything is still at stake. So much so that in the challenge against Everton the fields – Ancelotti will instead upset his team – should be few for the Catalan. Who obviously wants, after a resounding comeback against the Gunners, to finish ahead of everyone. But the challenge against Everton is far from easy for Manchester City, especially since the Liverpool team’s ranking forces the hosts to score points. Indeed, the Merseyside blues are fighting for salvation: still all to be won when there are not so many days left until the end of the season.
Of course, if we go by the quality of the squad, motivation, and even the moment of form, then there could be no doubt who will take this win. But as said on Wednesday there is a semifinal to play, against a team that I will rest everybody, and against a team that, at this level, knows how to do things. However, it has to be said, from here to think Everton can pull off the upset is a long way off. So much so that City, despite everything, remains rightly favored for this match. Guardiola’s troop in the end, also because of the individuality they have in the squad, should be able to take the three points. Perhaps trying to accelerate right away, close the file in the first half, and think about resting in the second half. Yes, with 45 minutes done well, victory seems to be assured anyway.
The Prediction
An important match for City. And a difficult one at that. But as explained before, Guardiola’s team, perhaps with only one half played to the hilt, could take a victory that to say is crucial for the fate of the league is putting it mildly. So the match, no doubt, could unlock as early as the first half.
