Mallorca-Osasuna, La Liga: TV, streaming, bets, predictions

by Michael

Maiorca-Osasuna is a match from the 27th day of La Liga and is played on Friday at 21:00: line-ups, predictions, TV and streaming.

Both located in the ‘limbo’ area of the table, almost equidistant from the relegation zone and Europe, Mallorca and Osasuna open the 27th day of La Liga on the weekend that marks the return of the main European leagues after the national team break.

The two teams, as we said, are currently separated by two points: ahead of them is Osasuna, who can still dream of a historic qualification to a European competition. It is undoubtedly a positive season for the team led by Jagoba Arrasate, who have been a regular presence on the left-hand side of the table for months now. The Navarra club have a crucial date in the Copa del Rey immediately after their trip to the Balearic Islands: next week’s semi-final return match against Athletic Bilbao is scheduled at the San Mames, where the Rojillos are called upon to defend their 1-0 victory in the first leg. Even a draw will be enough to advance to the final. Should they emerge unscathed from the ‘temple’ of the Basque city, they will face one of Real Madrid or Barcelona. The cup, however, has perhaps been a little distracting for the Pamplona team, who have not won in La Liga since 26 February, when they defeated Sevilla’s ‘Pizjuan’ in a daring way.

Osasuna ‘distracted’ by the cup

In the last round of the championship Osasuna had suffered an ugly home defeat against Villarreal (0-3), their second negative result in a row after the one against Valencia.

Mayorca, who have picked up just one point in three matches since their 4-2 win over Villarreal, are no longer able to win either. Before the break, the Mallorcan side had succumbed to Betis, who were beaten early in the second half by a Borja Iglesias goal. Osasuna came out on top in the first leg (1-0), while there was a substantial balance in the previous fixtures: two Navarrese wins, one Mallorca win and two draws in the last five head-to-heads. Javier Aguirre, coach of the Rossoneri, will have to do without Augustinsson and Valjent. On the other side, Arrasate is still forced to do without ‘Chimy’ Avila: the Argentine striker has not recovered from injury, but left-back Lucas Torró is also in doubt.

The Prediction

Osasuna are on the eve of an important game and the championship could take a back seat for a moment. Mallorca can take advantage of this, as they need a positive result to redeem their disappointing pre-match performance. Both should score on at least one occasion.
