Roma v Barcelona is the first leg match of the Champions League quarter-finals and will be played on Tuesday at 21:00: odds, predictions, TV and streaming.
A date with history for the Roma women’s team, which will play for the first time in its history at the Stadio Olimpico (around 40,000 spectators are expected) and will do so in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. Facing them will be a great team, Barcelona, who have won 54 consecutive matches in the league. This season they have racked up 22 wins in Spain, scoring 95 goals and conceding only five.
Roma have so far gone beyond all expectations and even scared Wolfsburg, as coach Spugna said in yesterday’s press conference: “After the Wolfsburg game we realised we could do it. Barcelona? They have few weaknesses, but they will have to concede something…”
The latest line-up news
The Giallorossi coach Spugna is expected to opt for a four-man defence, as he has always done in the season’s big matches, with Bartoli and Minami on the outside and the Wenninger-Linari pair in the middle. Losada, the former Barcelona captain and the Giallorossi’s big signing in the winter transfer window, is not yet in top condition and may only come into the side as the game progresses.
Giugliano will act as director, Andressa and Greggi are also in, with Giacinti and Haavi in attack along with one between Glionna and Serturini.
The prediction
Barcelona are clear favourites to win but Roma should be able to score at least one goal.
