Wednesday 8 March predictions: Champions League round of 16 again, also played in Scotland and South America
On the day when AC Milan go in the hunt for Champions League quarter-final qualification at home to Tottenham, the match attracting the most attention is undoubtedly the one at the Allianz Arena between Bayern Munich and PSG. The team of the wonder trio of Messi, Mbappé and Neymar – with the Brazilian, however, out until the end of the season due to injury – risks another resounding elimination.
There should be no shortage of goals and they should come in abundance compared to the first leg. At least a couple of goals are also likely in Milan’s game, but they are unlikely to beat Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.
Other match predictions
There are three games in the Scottish league, featuring the two dominant sides of the tournament, Celtic and Rangers, who should prevail over Hearts and Hibernian respectively.
