Leeds-West Ham: line-ups, predictions

by Sabrina

Leeds-West Ham and Aston Villa-Wolverhampton are Premier League Week 19 matches: fixtures, predictions

The match between Leeds and West Ham is a real salvation clash. Two teams who started out with different objectives this season, but now find themselves in certainly not-so-quiet areas of the table. And the points tonight are worth double for that reason too.

Neither of the two, when the championship resumed after the break for the World Cup, managed to win: one point for the hosts, who drew at Newcastle’s ground, zero for the guests, who first lost against Arsenal and then lost at home against Brentford. In short, immediate redemption is needed.

Aston Villa, on the other hand, have an important opportunity in the other match of the evening: that of putting themselves back in the running for a place in Europe. Emery’s team certainly has the qualities to reach an important placement, but up to now it has been disappointing and the change of coach will hopefully bear important fruits in this second half of the season. Against a Wolverhampton penultimate in the standings, there should be no particular problems. Even if we know very well that in football nothing is taken for granted.

The Leeds v West Ham prediction

A tie game this one. A point apiece that could help move the league table. With the feeling that there could even be one goal per team, at least.

The likely line-ups

  • LEEDS (4-3-3): Meslier; Kristensen, Cooper, Koch, Struijk; Adams, Roca; Summerville, Aaronson, Gnonto; Rodrigo
  • WEST HAM (3-4-3): Fabianski; Kehrer, Dawson, Aguerd, Emerson; Rice, Soucek; Bowen, Paqueta, Benrahma; Antonio.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 2-2
