Ternana-Como is a Serie B Week 18 match played on Sunday at 14:00: odds, predictions, TV and streaming.
The Andreazzoli cure – if it can be called a cure – is only half working. The former Genoa and Empoli coach, who agreed to ‘drop’ down the pecking order after an excellent season in Tuscany to try and get back into the top flight with Ternana, took Cristiano Lucarelli’s place two days ago.
No one could have imagined that the coach responsible for promotion two seasons ago could be sacked after his first negative spell and instead president Bandecchi did him no favours. It wasn’t enough for the ex-Livorno striker to bring the Rossoverdi into the playoff zone to save his bench: the two defeats in a row against Pisa and Venezia, followed by the three consecutive 0-0s against Bari, Spal and Brescia convinced the demanding patron to experiment with new solutions. Andreazzoli debuted with a narrow and fortunate victory against Cagliari (1-0), and his Ternana again ran out of goals (0-0) in the match against Sudtirol. All in all, a good point that of Bolzano, considering that even the leading Frosinone was forced to slow down in Alto Adige.
No less ambitious is Como, held by one of the richest properties in the entire Serie B. But the Larians, the Fere’s next opponents at the ‘Liberati’, are struggling to get going despite the big investments made in the summer, which have brought to the lake’s shores such high-sounding names as Fabregas, Cutrone and Mancuso. And yet Como lie at the bottom of the table, second to last on 16 points, and have not managed to win for five days, in which they have collected four draws and a defeat, on Sunday against Reggina.
Ternana-Como: the latest line-up news
Andreazzoli without Donnarumma, Capanni and Capuano. Partipilo and Pettinari should play in attack, the latter preferred to Favilli. Behind them Falletti.
A lot of injuries at Como as well, including Fabregas (who won’t be back until January). In defence it’s a run-off between Binks and Vignali, while in midfield Longo will choose Faragò.
The prediction
Ternana, despite not shining, should have the better of the match against the only team in Serie B that has yet to win on the road.
