Fiorentina-Monaco is a friendly and will be played on Saturday at 15:00: news, statistics, live TV, streaming, likely formations, predictions
Another friendly, the sixth in just over a fortnight, to try and dispel the last doubts. Fiorentina have been by far one of the busiest teams since training resumed to prepare for the second half of the season.
And yet the Viola have already played many matches from August to November. More than any other Serie A team, having had to face no less than two preliminary matches to enter the Conference League group stage. The five tests against Arezzo, Always Ready, Borussia Dortmund, Rapid Bucharest and Bastia – all won – have therefore served the coach Vincenzo Italiano to understand which men to focus on from January onwards, for example with regard to an attack that has often appeared ‘suffering’. Striker Arthur Cabral, who arrived in Florence a year ago to replace Dusan Vlahovic, has so far disappointed.
The ex-Basel player has almost always started in the last friendlies, but has not scored a single goal, confirming the difficulties in the scoring phase that had already emerged in the previous months. And on which the continuous dualism with Luka Jovic has perhaps also had an impact. The Serbian meanwhile has returned from Qatar and is expected to start in the test against Monaco, scheduled for this afternoon at 15:00 at the ‘Franchi’ stadium. Only victories for Fiorentina in these friendlies: matches in which the Viola have never scored less than two goals, conceding only two. Second Tuscan leg instead for Philippe Clement’s Monegasques, who yesterday beat Empoli 1-0 with a goal by Diop.
It is not to be ruled out that Italiano will also reserve some minutes for Gaetano Castrovilli, back from the terrible injury that kept him out for several months.
The Prediction
Florentin has given a good feeling in the friendlies played so far and could avoid defeat against Monaco, the sixth force in the French league. It’s likely to be an eventful friendly, with both sides scoring.
