INTER – SALISBURG | Wednesday 6 pm
The second and final friendly for Simone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan in Malta, where the Nerazzurri will stay until 9 December for a week of work (already sweating it out from the 4th) in anticipation of the return of Serie A. Last Monday, against Gzira United, the Milanese troop won 6-1 without any particular problems. Now the commitment is much more important, as in front of them will be Salzburg, eliminated from the Champions League and Roma’s next opponent in the Europa League, which is in first place in the Austrian championship. In short, the Nerazzurri have decided to raise the bar, and rightly so.
Many are absent due to the World Cup on both sides. But this doesn’t make the match any less interesting: especially at home Inter, of course, will try to oil some of the mechanisms that didn’t work in the first part of the season and that made Napoli stretch in the standings. Inter who are not only distant from the team coached by Spalletti who leads the championship, but also from those who chase directly. More was certainly expected. Still absent Lukaku, yes out of the World Cup but who will enjoy a few days off, attack entrusted to Dzeko who should be flanked by Carboni, at least these are the indications of the eve. Handanovic, of course, will play in goal, as Onana, who was sent home early, is also still on holiday.
Probably line-ups and prediction for Inter v Salzburg
A match that should give at least one goal per team and also at least three goals in total. Then, going by what are the absences for the World Cup – but not only that, also the value of the roses in question – a victory of the team coached by Simone Inzaghi seems very likely.
