With the World Cup bringing the league to a halt, the Serie A teams, after a holiday period, have resumed training. And so did Simone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan, languishing in the top flight, who are now in Malta for a ‘preparation call’ as they used to say in the old days. Not only training, of course, but also friendly matches, which are always good for those left behind. And the Nerazzurri will take the field today, Monday 5 December, against Gzira United, the first of a series of engagements with the last one scheduled for 22 December, in Reggio Calabria, against Pippo Inzaghi’s team. There will be many youngsters that Simone will send out onto the pitch this afternoon, although there will obviously also be some big names who did not participate in the World Cup in Qatar. The Azzurri, for example, but also Dzeko, who should be on the pitch from the first minute. Inter, however, look very much like their starting line-up, and for this reason President Zhang’s Nerazzurri should have no problem whatsoever in picking up a win. It will obviously be an affordable test against the Maltese team, and those who will take the field will certainly want to have fun. Beyond that spirit there is really little to stress.

The match between Inter Milan and Gzira United, scheduled for today, Monday 5 December, at 6pm, will not be shown live on TV. Instead, it will be possible to watch Simone Inzaghi’s team’s friendly match via streaming, as it will be broadcast live, at a cost of €2.29, on the nerazzurri’s official Facebook page.

No problem, of course, for Inter. The Nerazzurri team should assert themselves in a challenge that will give at least three goals in total. Watch out for the possibility of the match opening in the first half and also for the possible goal of Dzeko who will lead the Milanese attack.
