Tuesday 8 November football predictions: Serie A’s midweek kicks off tonight, the penultimate round before the long winter break for the World Cup in Qatar. Top-ranked Napoli will try to dispel the Empoli taboo, a team that has always beaten them in Serie A in their last three meetings. Milan are also likely to win in Cremona: it probably won’t be a 7-1 victory as in the last previous fixture in favour of the Rossoneri, but the total number of goals should be more than two this time round too.
Other predictions
There are midweek rounds in the Bundesliga and La Liga as well: Bayern Munich face one of their favourite victims, Werder Bremen, to whom they have scored 77 goals in their last 25 games in which they have never lost. Borussia Dortmund’s away match with Wolfsburg is more complicated, and Barcelona’s away match against Osasuna in Spain.
