Leicester-Leeds, Premier League: predictions

by Mike

LEICESTER – LEEDS | Thursday 9:15pm

Leicester have returned to the top three in the last three days of the Premier League, but are still unable to climb out of last place. The Foxes have five points and yesterday they were again overtaken by Nottingham Forest, who snatched a precious draw at home against Brighton. It was against the Garibaldi Reds that Brendan Rodgers’ men, who have had a nightmare start, won their only match on 3 October. After the affirmation against Forest, Leicester lost the salvation clash with Bournemouth and on Saturday did not manage to break through the wall of Crystal Palace: with the team coached by Patrick Vieira it ended 0-0. The management, however, continues to have faith in their coach, convinced that the negative moment will pass sooner or later.

Leeds only have four more points, but they are the same as third-last Wolverhampton. The Whites haven’t won since that resounding 3-0 win at Chelsea in August and have since totalled four defeats and two draws. Heavy air also for Jesse Marsch.

Leicester-Leeds: the prediction

Two teams who are at the bottom of the table and desperately need the three points to breathe again. Leicester, however, appear to be on a slight upturn: the feeling is that they will at least avoid defeat in a match where both the Foxes and Whites will score.

The Leicester-Leeds line-up probables

  • LEICESTER (4-1-4-1): Ward; Castagne, Amartey, Faes, Justin; Soumare; Albrighton, Tielemans, Dewsbury-Hall, Barnes; Daka.
  • LEEDS (4-2-3-1): Meslier; Kristensen, Koch, Cooper, Firpo; Adams, Roca; Sinisterra, Aaronson, Harrison; Bamford.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 2-2
